I'm going to show you a few more items that you will need for the meal. 欢迎来到我家。来看看一会我们做菜会用到的的一些素材。 Broccoli 西兰花 Lemons 柠檬 Red and yellow cherry tomatoes 红的和黄的樱桃蕃茄 Cucumbers 黄瓜 Shrimp 虾 Bread 面包 Peaches 桃子 Blueberries 蓝莓 Butter is an essential part of Western cooking. Nowadays you can find it in any Chinese grocery store. 黄油在西餐中是必不可少的。现在，在许多中国杂货店你都可以找到。 Cinnamon is another spice that Americans like to use in cooking. 肉桂是另一种美国人非常喜欢使用的香料 。 Olive oil is expensive, but you only have to use a little when cooking. 橄榄油比较贵一点，但是你在做菜的时候用的不多 。 We will use some imported balsamic vinegar for the salad. 在做色拉时会用到的香醋。 Here's a jar of imported black olives from Spain. We will use them in our salad. 这是一瓶西班牙黑橄榄，同样也会放一些在色拉里。 Three other items: powdered creamer, milk, and honey 还有三样东西：奶精，牛奶和蜂蜜。 Dish Number 1: Vegetable Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing 第一道菜：蔬菜色拉配意式黑醋汁 This salad is so easy to make. First, peel and cut the cucumbers. Next, quarter the tomatoes. "Quarter" means to cut in four pieces. Next, halve the olives. "Halve" means to cut in half. Put all the ingredients in a bowl, and sprinkle salt and pepper. This is ground black pepper. Finally, for the vinaigrette dressing, pour some balsamic vinegar and olive oil over the vegetables. You can also use regular vinegar. That's it. Dish 1: complete. 色拉制作起来很简单。首先，把黄瓜去皮削成片。然后把西红柿一切为四。再分 一半的黑橄榄。把所有的食材放进一个碗中，撒上一些盐和黑胡椒。这是一些碾 碎的黑胡椒。最后浇上香料。在蔬菜上倒入一些意大利黑醋和橄榄油。当然，你 用普通的香醋也是可以的。第一道：完成！ Dish Number 2: Mashed Potatoes 第二道菜：土豆泥 This is another easy vegetable to make. Start by boiling water. Then cut the potatoes in small pieces. Boil for about 10 to 15 minutes -- until you can easily poke a potato with a fork. Next, drain the water. Add a fourth of a stick of butter. Pour some milk to cover the bottom of the pot. This is a potato masher from America, but you can also use a fork to mash the potatoes. It takes longer, but it works fine. Finally, sprinkle some black pepper and lots of salt. If it tastes dry, add some more milk to make it creamier. Dish 2: finished. 这也是一道很好做的素菜。先煮上一锅水。然后把土豆切成小块。煮上10到15 分钟，煮到你可以轻易的用叉子叉上一块土豆就差不多了。把水倒出，加入四分 之一的黄油。在锅底倒上一些牛奶。这是一个美式土豆捣碎器，当然你用叉子来 做也是可以的。时间花的或许长一些，但是做出来的东西更好！最后撒一点黑胡 椒粉和许多的盐，如果太干了，你可以多加一点牛奶，做出来的就会更润一些。 第二道：完成 Dish Number 3: Broccoli and Shrimp 第三道菜：西兰花拌虾 Start by cutting of the heads of the broccoli -- also called florets. Next, steam over boiling water. While that is cooking, cut the red pepper and cube the purple onion. "Cube" means to cut in small cubes or squares. Just use half of the onion. Pour some olive oil in the skillet. I'm going to add some butter, too, for a creamier taste. Saute the peppers and onions. After three to five minutes, pour in the shrimp. Squeeze a lemon over the skillet. Add salt and pepper, and a little whiskey if you have some. Cover for a minute. Finally, pour in the cooked broccoli and stir. Then cut the beef into bite-sized portions, like this one. Next, add some oil and butter to the skillet. Cook the other half of the onion first. Then pour in the meat. Add pepper and salt. Then cover. Turn over the meat, piece by piece, until each one is brown. Cut a piece to check inside. When it is red, you know it is not quite ready, but you can add the mushrooms. The mushrooms will cook quickly. Cut another piece of meat to know when it's ready.
